The part of the record you can check

No testimonials, no star rating and no wall of settlement figures. Admissions, an award, two section councils and a degree, each of them verifiable somewhere that is not this website.

An empty testimonials page is more honest than a full invented one.

Julian has not published client reviews, and no platform carries any for him. His firm has testimonials, but they belong to the firm and to the other attorneys in it, and putting them under his name would be borrowing somebody else’s praise. So this page carries the things a stranger can look up independently, and nothing that only exists because a website says so.

Dates are printed as his firm publishes them rather than rounded into “years of experience”. If you would rather judge by what the work involves than by a register, each practice area sets out the process step by step, and how a claim actually works walks the whole thing end to end. The route he took to get here is on the attorney page.

About what is and is not on this page

Why are there no client testimonials on this site?

Because there are none to publish. Julian has not put any out, and no review platform carries any for him. His firm's testimonials are about the firm and its other attorneys, and reusing them here would mean presenting other lawyers' praise as his.

Why is there no star rating anywhere?

Same reason. There is no aggregate rating to report, and a score assembled to fill the space would be a number nobody could stand behind. If a genuine one exists later, it belongs here.

Can I check any of this myself?

Yes, and you should. Illinois bar admission is searchable through the ARDC, The National Trial Lawyers publishes its Top 40 Under 40 lists, and the ISBA lists its section council members. None of it depends on taking this page's word for it.

What about case results and settlement figures?

You will not find a scrolling list of verdicts here. His firm states that he has played a key role in securing multi-million-dollar results since joining, and that is quoted as their statement. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome, and figures presented without their facts are advertising.

Can I speak to a past client?

Ask on the first call. Whether that is possible depends entirely on the client and on confidentiality, so it is not something anyone should promise on a web page.

Start with a clear conversation.

Describe what happened, in whatever order it comes out. You will get a straight read on whether there is something here, including when the answer is that you may not need a lawyer at all.

Contacting Julian E. Zito or Mark L. Karno & Associates, LLC does not create an attorney-client relationship, and nothing on this site is legal advice. Please do not send confidential information until a written engagement is in place. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
